About the Role

As a Year 5 Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in helping children refine their skills, develop critical thinking, and build the confidence to take on the challenges of Year 6 and beyond. What You’ll Be Doing

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge Year 5 pupils, covering a broad and balanced curriculum.


• Encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, preparing students for their transition to Year 6.


• Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring each child can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.


• Using assessment for learning to monitor progress, identify gaps, and adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs.


• Fostering a positive and engaging classroom culture where pupils feel safe, respected, and motivated to succeed.


• Working closely with parents and the school team to ensure a collaborative approach to each child’s learning and development.

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) and experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5.


• A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum, with experience in English, Maths, and Science.


• The ability to engage, challenge, and inspire students, helping them take ownership of their learning.


• A creative, adaptable teaching approach, with the confidence to implement new ideas and strategies.


• A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for ensuring every child achieves their potential.
