Year 5 Teacher - Slough

A thriving primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their KS2 team from January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will deliver high-quality, structured lessons that build pupils’ confidence in reading, writing and mathematics. The Year 5 Teacher will plan engaging activities, lead guided reading sessions and prepare pupils for the rigour of upper KS2. Working in Slough, the Year 5 Teacher will collaborate with experienced colleagues and benefit from excellent professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver progressive Year 5 lessons that deepen knowledge and reasoning skills


• Use assessment to inform planning and targeted group support


• Lead small group interventions to support accelerated progress


• Maintain engaging learning environments and clear behaviour routines


• Provide feedback to parents and carers in Slough

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status


• Experience teaching in KS2, ideally upper ks2


• Strong curriculum knowledge and classroom management


• Available for January 2026
