Year 6 Teaching Job, Wigan Area, September Start, year-long position
Your new company
Hays have been approached by a local school in the Wigan area who are seeking to appoint a Year 6 teacher to start in September on a year-long contract. The school are looking for an experienced teacher who can come in and hit the ground running with this class in order to prepare them for their SATs. You will be joining a supportive network of staff and will have an experienced TA on hand to help with the class. Hays have always received great feedback from staff we have placed here.
Your new role
In this job role you will be taking on full responsibilities as class teacher and this will include planning and delivering lessons with particular focus on Maths, English and Science, in order to help prepare students for their SATs. You will be required to mark work and track pupil progress, providing extra support where needed for pupils who may be struggling. This school is looking for a confident teacher who can come in and make a lasting impact on this class.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with recent experience within primary education and have working knowledge of Year 6 or KS2 with delivery of SAT Prep will prove beneficial. Subject leadership is desired, but not essential for this role. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECT's and NQT's are welcome to apply.
