We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Class Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Slough from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role

Position: Year 6 Class Teacher

Location: Slough

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered

TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate)

As our Year 6 Teacher, you will:

• Lead a motivated Year 6 class, preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school.


• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence.


• Assess learning effectively to ensure all pupils make strong progress.


• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued and supported.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote high standards across the school.


• (If applicable) Take on a subject or phase leadership role as part of a TLR opportunity.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from teachers who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).


• Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.


• Possess a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, SATs preparation, and secondary transition.


• Are reflective practitioners with excellent communication and organisational skills.


• Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to inclusion.


• Thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.


• Are open to taking on subject or phase leadership responsibilities (if seeking a TLR).
