Youth Justice Officer – 3 Month Contract

Summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of young individuals involved with the Youth Justice Service.
  
  


• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including:
  
  
  
  • AssetPlus Assessments
    
    
  
  
  • Prevention Assessments
    
    
  
  
  • Diversion Assessments
    
    
  
  


• Formulate intervention plans to mitigate offending behavior and prevent reoffending.
  
  


• Perform risk assessments and develop risk management strategies.
  
  


• Collaborate with children, families, educational institutions, and partner organizations.
  
  


• Draft court reports and other necessary statutory documents.
  
  


• Engage in multi-agency meetings, reviews, and panels.
  
  


• Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards in all casework.
  
  


• Maintain precise case records and adhere to service protocols.
  
  


• Assist children and young people in achieving positive outcomes and reducing future offending risks.
  
  

• Proven experience within a Youth Justice Service.
  
  


• Proficiency in conducting:
  
  
  
  • AssetPlus Assessments
    
    
  
  
  • Prevention Assessments
    
    
  
  
  • Diversion Assessments
    
    
  
  


• In-depth knowledge of youth justice legislation, policies, and practices.
  
  


• Experience managing complex cases involving vulnerable youth.
  
  


• Competence in a multi-agency collaborative environment.
  
  


• Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and communication.
  
  


• Enhanced DBS Check.
