Yr 6 Teacher

Key Stage Teacher Supply are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely, welcoming Catholic primary school in South Ribble, Preston, who are looking for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join them from January 2027 through to the end of the academic year (Spring and Summer terms).

Year 6 Class Teacher
January 2027 start
Two term placement (Spring and Summer)
Based in PrestonAs the role will cover the important Spring and Summer terms, the school is particularly keen to hear from teachers with previous Year 6 experience and a strong background in preparing pupils for their KS2 SATs. Confidence in delivering targeted interventions, supporting pupils' progress and ensuring they are well prepared for their assessments will be key.

 Primary Teacher role requirements: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the Year 6 primary curriculum
Experience supporting with and planning for Key Stage 2 SATs
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons 
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills 
• A proactive and reflective approach to teaching 
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing 
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply  
The successful  Primary Teacher will: 

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the primary curriculum
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress 
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies 
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment 
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and leadership
