Finance Manager, Business Partnering

Recruitment Partner: Lizzy Parfitt We are looking for a Finance Manager to drive performance to deliver financial targets and commercial initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to join our commercial finance team, supporting the strategy of the fastest growing area of the retail business - the Digital Retail business unit. We are investing >£100m into our highly exciting Transformation programme which will provide varied experience and great exposure to the whole business. About the role Reporting to the Head of Finance, Digital Retail, you will be based within the wider Commercial Finance Business Partnering Team, and will work with our FP&A and Financial Control teams. You will also have direct relationships with the Chief Digital Officer , Trading, Operations and Development Directors, and Heads of categories. You will have a rare and unique opportunity to oversee End to End P&L of the Boots.com business, which means exposure to several other areas of the business. Responsibilities include: · Support the Trading Director and their teams to understand their performance, to inform future commercial decisions.
· Review end to end P&L, to identify gross contribution improvements.
· Review and approve business cases and business investment.
· Support in investment appraisals and work with the project teams to deliver investments from concept to post investment.
· Support in the creation of a strategic and stretching plan.
· Hold commercial teams to account for delivering their budget/forecast and 3YP.
· Improve the profitability of the Digital Retail Business Unit.
· Develop strong working relationships with commercial teams and key finance stakeholders in FP&A and Financial Control. What you’ll need to have • Can communicate and influence effectively to stakeholders at all levels, and hold business partners to account.
• Highly analytical with experience in reporting and reviewing the quality and accuracy of data.
• Resilient and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent Excel and SAP BW skills. It would be great if you also have • Experience as a L5 with strong commercial awareness – Commercial/Business Partnering.
• Knowledge of Commercial TM1 reporting and Power BI. Our benefits
