PSSR Surveyor

RPS is currently seeking a PSSR Surveyor to join our team to work in the field and support our prestigious clients in maintaining compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. This role is home-based with regular travel to the following locations; Birmingham, Manchester and London. What you’ll be doing: This is an exciting role for an individual looking to progress their career as a PSSR Surveyor within our industry leading team where we have an excellent reputation, offering a wealth of expertise in all sectors. Working in the field and servicing our client’s needs through regular site visits & periodic statutory examinations ensuring various pressure equipment is compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements. Duties Include:
Utilising your strong approach to customer care and operate within all H&S standards to achieve optimal service delivery in this progressive role.
Travelling widely within your allocated region which would require you to stay away from home during this occasion
Regular site visits and periodic statutory examinations of pressure equipment which include pressure vessels, steam pressure equipment, piping, air receivers, heat exchangers, coffee machines, boilers, HVAC
Maintenance Audits
Trouble shooting
H&S Audits
Regular reporting
Responding to client needs
Who we’re looking for: To be successful for this role you will most likely have knowledge of PSSR. It would be beneficial but not essential if you had knowledge of PUWER regulations though appropriate training will be provided. You will also have the following:
Post qualification experience working with pressure vessels
Minimum NVQ, ONC level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 years relevant PSSR Statutory Inspection experience
Proficient in computer usage and adept at delivering concise reports
Self-disciplined and self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
Willingness to undertake extensive travel, including regular overnight stays
Additionally, you will:
Proficient in forming opinions on safe conditions and future usability of equipment
Exceptional communication skills to convey safety decisions to clients effectively
Demonstrate ability to make informed decisions
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanour with a keen eye for detail
