Retail Warehouse Operative

Established in 1994 Swish is a truly independent, authentically local, growing Edinburgh business, specialising in clothing, accessories and lifestyle products. We have four boutiques in the historic city of Edinburgh, as well as our very own garment printing studio and workshop.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual with a positive and customer service focussed attitude to join our team. Ideally we are looking to find some one with picking, packing and warehousing experience, who has aspirations to fill the role of Retail Warehouse Operative. We will, however, consider applicants without experience if they can demonstrate a good work ethic and positive can-do attitude.

The role requires speed, accuracy and attention to detail and, thus, the ideal candidate will need to be focused and thorough, with the ability to pay careful attention to the job, follow instructions precisely, and double-check his or her work before completing a task.

Duties:

• Daily replen for four locations
• Checking off deliveries and putting them away
• Preparing products for redistribution to our shops (this includes labelling products, transferring and packing)
• Picking and packing online orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
• Assist with inventory counts and reporting discrepancies
• Preparing recycling
• Delivering stock to shops*

Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members
• A flexible can-do attitude
• Driving license* (preferable)

Training:

• Full on the job training will be given so no previous experience of e-commerce software is required.
• You will be trained to use our online e-commerce software to administer customer orders as they are placed.
