Job Description - Sales Support Apprentice

Our new electric bus range is growing in the marketplace, and it is a hugely exciting time to join our team. As a Sales Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wider business and contributing to the success of our electric bus venture.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient sales administration processes, as well as building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This is an amazing opportunity for an aspiring professional to join us and support our Sales Teams in delivering service excellence.

You will be joining an established team and working towards a Business Administration: Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Who are you?

This is a fast-paced role where you will work on delivering administration tasks to a very high standard. You will have excellent attention to detail and work with the highest level of integrity. Being a small team, teamwork is essential, and you will be willing to support your colleagues during periods of heavy workloads. You are someone who is looking to develop your communication skills and is happy to pick up the phone to solve problems and engage with stakeholders.

Who you will be working with:

Whether you're a career switcher, a recent school leaver, or someone ready for a new challenge, we are looking for enthusiastic and curious individuals. We want someone who is not afraid to ask questions and is eager to learn the ropes of Sales administration. You'll be a vital member of a team of 5, shadowing an experienced Sales Administrator and reporting directly to the Sales Support Manager.

As a Sales Apprentice, you will be working closely with the Sales Support Manager, taking ownership of the administration of all aspects of Volvo Bus. You will be joining a hardworking and busy team who enjoys meeting targets and having fun at the same time. The team is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming, always ready to lend their knowledge.

Aside from the team, you will also be working with various stakeholders such as:

  • Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to support their efforts, capture market insights, and provide vital sales support.
  • Body Builders: Engage and foster relationships with external bodybuilders, shipping lines, export, and customs.
  • Aftermarket Team: Work alongside the aftermarket team to ensure a seamless customer experience and support post-sales activities.

By working closely with these stakeholders, you will play a vital role in supporting the wider business.

The Role:

  • The timely ordering of chassis to the correct specification using the order administration system
  • Ensuring chassis deliveries/bodybuilder programmes are synchronized to meet customer requirements
  • Liaising with customs agents and logistics teams to coordinate the import and export of vehicles
  • Liaising with customers and finance companies to arrange new and used vehicle invoicing
  • Ensuring customers are invoiced according to agreed contractual terms
  • Supporting in the administration and payment of bodybuilder invoices according to agreed terms
  • Vehicle tax and registration
  • Issuing Purchase Orders for the business
  • Providing timely and accurate support to the Sales team
