Clearance Type: Highest Level of Government Clearance (DV) - Clearance NB, YOU MUST BE A BRITISH CITIZEN AND HAD PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN THE UK FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS (WITH A TRAVEL HISTORY) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE We are seeking talented and enthusiastic AWS System Administrators / Developers, to join our dynamic team. As an AWS System Administrator or AWS Developer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining ours and our customers AWS cloud environments, assisting with system administration tasks, and contributing to the optimisation of cloud infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and technically skilled individual to gain hands-on experience in cloud operations and expand their knowledge of AWS. AWS Infrastructure Management: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, and storage. Collaborate with senior developers and architects to design and develop AWS-based solutions that align with business requirements and best practices. Assist in the implementation and deployment of cloud-based applications, services, and infrastructure on the AWS platform. System Administration: Perform system administration tasks such as user management, server provisioning, and software installation on AWS instances. Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security best practices, monitoring, and compliance within the AWS environment. Contribute to backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and high availability of systems. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to maintain system reliability and performance. Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts or automation tools to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency. Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices to recommend improvements and optimisations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An understanding of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. Familiarity with Linux and Windows server administration. Python, Bash) for automation tasks. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus but not required. Occasional UK travel may be required to attend team/customer meetings, events and training activities At Origin8tive Ltd we do have flexible working arrangements but we see the value of our teams being co-located in Cheltenham. To qualify for clearance, you must hold a British passport and have lived in the UK permanently for 10 years (and have 10 years of travel history). Salary up to £40k-£80k per annum with generous benefits package:
