We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Buyer to work across the David Lloyd Clubs group. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take responsibility for the non-food Purchasing here at David Lloyd and really make this role their own. You will be responsible for procurement solutions as required in running tenders, supplier selection and contract negotiations with new and existing suppliers. Supporting with business projects to manage cost inflation, negotiate favourable rates and terms with suppliers while mitigating disruption and risk. In addition, data analytics to provide executive summaries of options to senior management team and wider stakeholders for improved service Please note that this role will need occasional travel across the UK. And what qualifications, skills and experience do I need?

• Preference for CIPS experience or working towards this
• Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Chain activities, preferably in Food / Drink supply
• Passion to improve the product we serve to our team and members
• Experience in dealing in multi-site operation
• Have a strong commitment to be self-motivated to develop and learn
• Understanding of commercial contracting
• Ability to influence senior management through articulation of your analysis
• Negotiation and influencing skills
