We have a hybrid working model, where you can work 60% from home, with the rest of your time being flexibly based at our brand new, sustainable head office in Leeds city centre, just 5 minutes' walk from the train station.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for a Front End Web Developer | JavaScript to utilise their knowledge further in developing solutions for our Mortgage and Digital delivery stream, including our public facing web digital channels. Applications development is varied and will include writing code for responsive web (mobile, tablet, desktop) as well as on mobile specific platforms (hybrid apps).

Working across the tech stack you will be developing new and existing components/elements for the Society's Digital platform on different layers of the solution architecture, testing, delivering and maintaining all areas of the public facing estate. Your role will include: develop and maintain web apps using TeamSite CMS; integrate frontend with Java backend systems; create responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript; ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize for speed and work with RESTful APIs for dynamic content

 What will you bring to the role?

•  Frontend development experience with CMS focus.
• Significant experience in coding advanced front-end web development (across web and mobile) and expert ability to hand code HTML5 / CSS3 / J-Query / JavaScript.
• You have gained your experience in either a large corporate digital development team or within a digital agency.
• Familiarity with backend Java code.
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience in working in an DevOps/Agile environment
