Job Description - HR Adviser

HR Adviser needed in Exeter, £212.82 per dayPAYE – Reference: RQ1286172

  • Develop and implement guidance and processes to support international exchange / secondments between Met Office and its partners – initially USA based partners potentially extending world-wide.
  • Identify future delivery model including resource requirements and upskill MO to enable ongoing support for international exchange/ assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Review current Met Office processes and practice and advise on legislative / other requirements required to facilitate international mobility ensuring compliance (including but not confined to cross-border assignments, temporary overseas secondments, exchange programmes with partner organisations). This includes inward/ outward exchange and assignments.
  • Develop guidance for managers and employees and establish the processes to facilitate international exchange/ assignments and ensure efficient programme execution.

You will ideally have –

  • Relevant global mobility experience including exposure to regulatory compliance
  • Experience in a mobility role within a large, complex organisation ideally within the public and/ or education sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of international mobility processes and policy
  • Attention to detail especially when developing terms and conditions of employment related to mobility
  • Good organisational planning skills and a proven ability to work with a large degree of independence, managing own workload and priorities and identifying opportunities to add value to the business
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, advisors, government agencies
  • Knowledge of tax implications, immigration and visa requirements and other legal requirements and cultural considerations in relation to international assignments
  • Excellent communication skills

This is a full time role on atemporary contract basis
