PHPRU EYAC provides high quality assessment and teaching of young children with complex special educational needs, from the age of 2 years, to enable their next educational placement to be appropriate. The Management Committee of PHPRU are seeking to appoint a permanent teacher to join the established, outstanding EYAC team from September 2024 (or as soon as possible after)

The successful candidate will have at least two years experience of teaching, within a primary setting, and be prepared to develop expertise in ASD/SLCN

We are looking for someone:

  • To assess and teach young children who have complex special educational needs
  • To support the development of EYAC provision with particular reference to the teaching and assessment of young children with Communication, Interaction and Access Needs (ASD/SLCN)
  • To promote and support the achievement of all children through work with officers, agencies, schools, families and children where ASD or SLCN is a factor
  • To participate as a team member in the operation, promotion, evaluation and development of the Early Years Assessment Centre
  • To be an outstanding practitioner who provides stimulating learning opportunities and enjoys working with young children
