Job Description - Customs Coordinator

Customs Coordinator

£32,000 to £40,000 per annum, Permanent, 40 hours per week Mon-Fri, BS34 Bradley Stoke, Bristol,
Holiday, Pension, Modern Office environment plus further benefits

A modern aerospace and defence supplier who have a brand new office in the North Bristol area and actively recruiting for a customs coordinator to develop their import and export department. Rapidly growing, this people focused employer offer further progressive opportunities and a chance to join them at an time in their organisation. Working within an office of 5 with the full support of your colleagues and a branch manager, this customs coordinator's role will see you :

  • Preparing all import and export documents and organisation of transports to and from the EU and worldwide.
  • Contact for customs authorities and colleagues in all customs matters.
  • Application for custom permits and implementing all of the permit requirements.
  • Checking preferential rules of origin and import /export restrictions.
  • Carrying out export controls, checking sanction lists, dual use regulations and applying for export permits with SPIRE.
  • Process responsibility for the further development and monitoring of all customs related processes within the company in UK.

The customs coordinator will have a need to hold :

  • Extensive Customs experience within imports and exports
  • Multiple years experience within imports, exports and customs
  • Excellent working experience of export procedures, customs warehousing procedures, Import processing
  • Additional certification within Dangerous goods would be preferred but not essential

The successful candidate will have a need to be able to demonstrate excellent Customs, export and imports experience with supplier based industry experience being preferred. All industry customs experience will be considered. This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a customs specialist, Customs manager or customs coordinator.
