About The Role:


This role will be responsible for driving the definition and ongoing improvement of the enterprise SAAS pricing strategy while also executing the day-to-day operations in support of that strategy.

In this role you will be asked to serve as a hands-on practitioner to drive improved execution and operational excellence in software pricing across the organization. Required skills are strong experience in value-based pricing of cloud subscription products and/or direct experience working in a commercial focused role within a SaaS company.

A successful candidate will have prior pricing experience with subscription model pricing in an enterprise software or SaaS environment and/or management consulting. This role will collaborate with members of a variety of departments, and external parties.

This critical role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining global value pricing strategies and practices that drive profitable growth for Dematic. Initially focused on Dematic’s software portfolio, scope will widen to include XaaS strategies including robot-as-a-service and fulfillment-as-a-service.

 

In This Role, You Will:

  • Establish sustainable pricing based on customer perceptions of value and competitive differentiation informed by market analysis and customer testing
  • Develop value pricing strategies that are aligned to the organization’s go-to-market plans
  • Build and maintain value pricing capabilities, including pricing lists, reference data, and models for the product portfolio
  • Adapt pricing models and ranges to account for customer segment, region, and other related factors
  • Run controlled pricing pilots to test and learn new models to support future monetization models and commercial strategies
  • Implement processes and tools to develop central value-based pricing while enabling regional execution and value-based selling
  • Drive value-based pricing analytics and use insights to inform product pricing models
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, and Finance to align value-based pricing with profitability objectives, and market competitiveness
  • Work closely with Commercial Finance and Sales to enable value selling based on modelled value pricing
  • Providing insights and experience regarding cloud subscription and/or SaaS industry best practices.
  • Provide value pricing expertise and thought leadership while guiding transformational initiatives throughout the organization in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Own the strategic rationale and accuracy of value pricing proposals across the product portfolio
  • Update and enhance developed models and price lists as needed, applying continuous improvement principles
  • Document pricing policies and processes, communicating them to cross-functional teams as needed
  • Engage with flexibility in wider product marketing and commercial activities

Your Professional Profile/Qualifications

 

  • Substantial pricing experience, with emphasis on value-based methodologies
  • Substantial experience in a GTM monetization/pricing strategy role. May consider candidates with monetization/pricing experience and a combination of the following areas: consulting, strategic finance or corporate strategy, deal strategy & value management, ideally within a SaaS, enterprise software, or cloud platforms company to equal 5 years or more
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • Hands-on experience developing models, proofs of concept and business cases to support decision making
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional teams to deliver results
  • Strong analysis, strategy development, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines
  • A team player with exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
