AWS Developer

As a Barclays AWS Developer, you will provide design, coding and unite testing services for the data platform within the data and analytics cluster. As part of this group, you will assist with the building out of a data platform that is at the heart of a multiyear technology transformation program. You will use a variety of programs to enable to the development of the platform, allowing the consolidation of data from multiple sources.

What will you be doing?

Producing and maintaining application code and unit testing code

Producing and reviewing development plans, providing oversight and fixes where appropriate

Managing development issues, escalating when appropriate

Attending project meetings, representing the development team

Undertaking peer reviews, providing feedback and guidance as required

Acting as reference point for technical queries within development area

What we’re looking for:

Experience of Scala or Python

Understanding and working knowledge of SPARK

XML/JSON formats

Experience Data Warehousing / Big Data background

Skills that will help you in the role:

Knowledge of AWS services

Knowledge of Java

KAFKA experience

SQLserver experience
