The Senior Data Engineer role is based within our Submarine Support Engineering business area.

The role

The difference our new Senior Data Engineer will make
As a Senior Data Engineer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary where you will cover all aspects of data engineering and data architecture and will assist with the design and delivery of all initiatives through our Data Exploitation Campaign.

Day to day, youll assist with designing of data storage and maintenance solutions that puts the data at the heart of our organisation, this will include owning and interacting with data warehouse and data lake solutions.

Essential experience
A degree or similar in a IT related subject
An understanding of working on Data Warehousing Solutions using Kimball methodology
Knowledge of Database Architecture
Implementation of Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) flows
Good knowledge of Microsoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator or similar tools
Data Modelling skills
Knowledge of delivering solutions within Database Systems (SQL & NOSQL)
Some Development understanding of Data APIs

You must be a British national and be eligible/capable of achieving Security Check (SC) clearance.
