Job description

The Stores Operative will ensure all material and parts are controlled and managed in an organised and efficient manner within the stores area..

Responsibilities

• Adhering to company safety policies and procedures, at all times
• Good inwards - goods off load, verify against paperwork and verify quality
• Stock management - ensure stock is put away in applicable section of stores
• Despatch - accurately pick goods for fabrication, site, assembly or spares
• Maintain target 5s standards for work area and identify and implement improvements
• Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use
• Stock counting - assist with the routine physical stock count and check stock levels on request
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Valid Forklift licence or willing to complete a refresher
• Minimum 1 year experience in similar role
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Attentive to detail
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work on own initiative
• Willingness to develop and adapt to new situations
• Team player
• Available to work flexible hours
• Clearance to work in UK

Desirable Skills

• NVQ level 3 qualification in Warehousing/Stores
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
• Aisle Master or Bendi truck experience
• Material picking using handheld scanners
