Our Bristol site are now recruiting for a Transport Team Leader on a full time basis.

Salary: £33,800 per annum

Working hours: Sunday to Thursday, 17:00 - 01:30

Job Description

Key Duties of a Transport Team Leader: 

• Planning driver start times to meet the sites despatch KPI
• Efficiently allocate both drivers and vehicles to loads
• Liaising with the shunting operation covering pre loading and unloading operation
• Effective communication with the planning team to ensure collection times are adhered to and from site.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers.
• Ensure orders are despatched and delivered in line with customer specifications.
• Plan, allocate and book all special transport 
• Allocate equipment to meet maintenance / service intervals as instructed by the maintenance planner. 
• Adhere to the business Health & Safety policy, ensuring that all accidents are reported including near misses to promote a good Health & Safety culture on site. 
• Follow the sites defect procedure to ensure defected equipment is processed 
• Conduct investigations in line with company procedure.

Qualifications

• Transport experience in FMCG environment
• Adaptable and methodical approach towards work and training
• Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
• The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Able to work as part of a team or individually
• CPC National desirable but not essential
• Good attention to detail 
• Planning and organising skills
• Good IT skills including Microsoft office packages
