St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Retail Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join our team. You will join us as a permanent member of our team, on either a full time or 30 hour part-time basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £25,000 and £28,000 per annum (pro rata for part time hours). You won’t just be joining a fantastic team – you’ll be part of a welcoming, community minded charity . Our mission is to provide excellent specialist palliative care for patients and support to their families. We have 31 shops around Somerset, all contributing valuable funds that support our Hospice services. Within the retail group are our three large furniture stores, served by a logistics operation which is managed centrally from our Taunton Warehouse – this is where you come in. As Retail Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our warehouse and logistics function operates in a professional and cost-effective way, while keeping excellent customer service at the heart of everything you do. Ensuring that the day-to-day organisation of the warehouse meets the needs of our shops, and in particular that the logistics function runs smoothly and efficiently to support our furniture shops. Working closely with the Head of Retail, the Logistics Administrators and a team of drivers, you will ensure an efficient and professional collection and delivery service for customers and donors. Overseeing the maintenance of vehicles and equipment, as well as health and safety of the warehouse. As this role requires travel across the county to undertake deliveries to our stores, a full valid driving licence will be required.
