Apprentice Landfill Aftercare Technician

Job Title: Level 6 Environmental Management degree

Salary: £25,106 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Location: Veolia Pitsea Landfill Pitsea Hall Lane Pitsea Basildon Essex SS16 4UH

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

What you'll be doing;

• To carry out all required environmental monitoring and reporting of results

• To manage the leachate and surface water systems

• To operate and maintain the leachate treatment plant

• To supervise contractors, carry out contractor monitoring and issue permits to work

• Schedule the work using the site monitoring schedule and plant maintenance plan

• involved with delivering the companies aspiration for site with good biodiversity and public amenity

What we're looking for;

• A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths & English, A - Levels in Environmental/Science

• Effective communication

• Time management

• Willingness to travel

• Drivers license or willingness to get one
