What do Safety, Health & Environmental Technicians do:

Safety, Health & Environmental Apprentices develop the required skills and knowledge in order to be able to:

• Help develop, check, and implement safe ways of working, including supporting audits.
• Assist with investigating accidents and incidents, finding causes, and helping prevent them in the future.
• Track and report on health and safety performance, and help create initiatives to improve it.
• Prepare and deliver safety talks and training to raise awareness of key health and safety topics.
• Take part in quarterly Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) committee meetings.

What you will need to apply:

• 5 GCSEs level 4 – 9  including English and Maths.
• Willingness to work towards: Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician EPA and NEBOSH National General Certificate
• Willingness to work towards TechIOSH membership (A Recognized health & safety qualification showing practical knowledge and competence in workplace safety)
• A positive attitude towards safe working, excellent IT skills, effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.
• The ability to solve problems in a timely manner, and to stay calm in difficult situations.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
• To be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work as well as the desire to succeed.
