Lebus Upholstery, which was established in 1840, has become one of the largest furniture manufacturers of UK produced upholstery, based in North Lincolnshire. We have a modern purpose-built 250,000 square feet factory supplying a wide range of furniture retailers across the UK and Ireland.

In our custom built 250,000 square feet factory, probably the largest one site operation of its kind in the country a dedicated workforce and a strong leadership team devote all their talents and experience to the design and construction of Lebus models.

Every piece of furniture is handmade with careful consideration of the finest details – from the design concept through to the finished article. . We are looking for Apprentice upholsterers to join the team in September 2026. Do you want to learn how to produce bespoke upholstered furniture and become a skilled trades person.

• Learn how to upholster bespoke items of contemporary furniture

• Learn upholstery techniques, which covers the use of traditional skills, combined with the latest techniques which are used in contemporary upholstery manufacturing

• Lean how to sew upholstery components

• Learn how to hand cut fabric

• Learn how to pattern match fabric

• Learn how to work with different materials such as leather and cottons

• Learn a practical trade within a growing industry

• Become a valued member of a friendly team working in a modern manufacturer

Comprehensive Modern Upholstery Training:

During your Standard Level 2 Modern Upholstery apprenticeship programme you will receive training both off and on the job. You will be trained at the employer within the workplace and also at WEBS Training in Nottingham on a block basis for 4 days at a time every 10 weeks.

You will learn the underpinning knowledge that runs alongside your practical elements of the training. WEBS Training aim to build on the skills you already have so you reach your full potential both personally and professionally.

Training will be provided in all areas of Modern Upholstery to ensure you can create practical and bespoke furniture using both traditional and modern techniques and materials to produce aesthetically pleasing and fit for purpose products.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English (Grade C/4) - desirable

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths (Grade C/4) - desirable

• If you have already achieved GCSE maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or have equivalent qualification you will be exempt from undertaking Functional Skills, however English and maths support will be provided for all apprentices throughout the length of their programme.

Pay: £8 per hr Apprenticeship wage

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday, 7am -3pm Friday 7am-1.30pm
