## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n\u2022 This role is assembly and test house based engineering apprenticeship where the successful candidate will learn all aspects of assembly and testing of a variety of valves/couplings/slide and swivels/sliding unions/actuators and associated sub-assembly\u2019s. \n\u2022 Parts assembled and tested will include a range of Flap/poppet/drain valves across fuel/air/water applications, candidate will learn all processes involved, from laser/pin stamp part marking to assembly and the test \u0026 certification of each part. \n\u2022 Within these roles the candidate will learn various locking methods (wire lock, drill \u0026 pin),riveting, torque tightening, peening and swaging using a variety of hand tools and machines. \n\u2022 Candidate will learn testing across a variety of rigs and test media. \n\u2022 Also include sliding unions for Airbus A320/A380. \n\u2022 A range of hydraulic slide and swivels used on multiple combat aircraft including Typhoon/Hawk/Tornado. \n\u2022 Apprentices will have scope to explore their own interests. Eaton encourages all employees to develop to their full potential. \n\u2022 Apprentices will follow a robust rotational plan where they will have the support of the dedicated Apprenticeship Team to ensure their learning journey is exciting, engaging, and successful in line with their educational studies. \n\nEssential Functions: \n\u2022 Manufacture of Aerospace components using a variety of assembly and test techniques. \n\u2022 With the support of Eaton, successfully complete an engineering apprenticeship through a local college or provider \n\u2022 Full training will be provided by Eaton\n\n \n \n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Candidates should be able to demonstrate a degree of mechanical understand/interest, whether through hobbies or previous experience\n\n \n \n\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Direct experience of and/or demonstrated interest in making things or getting things made from your own personal efforts, i.e. in a workshop, or equivalent position. \n\u2022 Demonstrated interest in and understanding of mechanical engineering, especially in systems for which safety and reliability are essential, e.g. aerospace. \n\u2022 Candidates should be able to demonstrate a degree of mechanical understand/interest, whether through hobbies or previous experience \n\u2022 An ability to work with written instructions, drawings, and through practical instruction. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using email and formal written reports \n\u2022 Basic IT skills such as Excel and Word are preferred \n\u2022 GCSE (grade C or above desirable) in English, Mathematics, and one or more Sciences (equivalent experience considered) \n\u2022 A-Levels (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.\n
