This role provides an exciting opportunity to join Newmark’s market-leading specialist Minerals team, with the chance to travel throughout the UK, develop industry relationships, and build market knowledge and expertise within this unique and highly specialised sector. You will gain first-hand insight into the vital role minerals play in everyday life, from the materials used to build homes and infrastructure to those that support modern technology and develop an understanding of the sector's significant contribution to the UK's economy and sustainable development.
The team provides specialist valuation and consultancy advice to mineral operators, waste management companies, landowners, lending institutions and public sector organisations. Typical work includes undertaking inspections and valuations of land, quarries, and industrial premises such as railheads, product factories, energy from waste plants and recycling facilities for accounting, lending and taxation purposes, ranging from extensive asset portfolios to individual mineral and waste properties. In addition, the team delivers a broad range of consultancy services, including compensation advice, expert witness services, lease consultancy, and acquisition and disposal guidance.
Through this work, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of clients and assets, developing specialist knowledge within a sector that plays a fundamental role in supporting the UK's economy and infrastructure. Working alongside experienced surveyors on live client instructions from day one, you will build the skills and experience required for a successful career in the property industry.

This apprenticeship role requires a minimum of four days per week working in the office / site inspections, alongside one dedicated study release day to support your academic and professional development.
Hybrid working arrangements will be available once qualified with RICS status.
This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis.
