Audience Team:
The Audiences team helps the BBC make better decisions by providing insight into audience behaviour, needs and perceptions. We combine audience research, data analysis, digital analytics and strategic insight to help teams across the BBC understand who our audiences are, how they use BBC services, and how we can better serve them.
As an Early Careers Apprentice, you'll gain experience across different areas of audience insight and analytics, working with research and data specialists to support projects that inform strategic and editorial decision-making. You'll develop practical skills in research, analysis, stakeholder engagement and project delivery while working on real business challenges.
As part of the Audiences department, apprentices will support the day-to-day delivery of audience insight, research and analytics projects. They will have opportunities to work with a range of teams and develop experience in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, digital analytics, audience measurement and insight communication.

The BBC recognises that you may need to relocate to a new location to take up a BBC Apprenticeship scheme. The cost of relocating can be a barrier for some applicants and where that is a barrier to participation, we want to help where we can. To help ensure our apprenticeship opportunities are accessible to people from a wide range of backgrounds, a limited number of relocation support awards are available each year for those who meet our financial eligibility criteria. Relocation financial support might be available for this role, subject to meeting the financial eligibility criteria. Further information will be shared with applicants during the recruitment process. Details on the wider support, initiatives and networks available at the BBC can be found on our careers site.

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for any suitable open vacancies at the BBC or outside in the wider creative industry. You’ll be supported with career development, employability training, and networking opportunities to help you take your next step.
