Business Development Intern

We’re
looking for a top student or recent graduate to help us grow our start-up.

StoreSlate is an online engagement platform for retail staff. We help staff become better at their jobs by learning more about the products they sell and we help manufacturers sell more by arming their shop floor sales force with knowledge.

You'll be working in a range of areas both developing the business in existing markets and launching into new markets. If you've got the skills you can expect to get involved with: pitching to manufacturers, marketing to staff and stores, developing partnerships, developing products, assessing new opportunities.

You’ll
need to be enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, analytical, detail oriented, a
fast learner, a creative problem-solver and self-directed. We’re looking for someone
who has the vision and intuition to spot opportunities and imagine what
could be; the stamina to focus and get the details
right; the confidence to pick up the phone or walk into a meeting and
talk to anyone; and the intelligence to work out what it all means.

Domain specific skills and other relevant talents (e.g. web design, graphic design, programming, law) are nice to have but not necessary.

We
are looking for someone to join us for a couple of months, starting
ASAP. Dates can be flexible for the right candidate. This is an upaid
position.

An internship is unlikely to lead to a full time position in our organisation.

Additional requirements:

• Strong phone and presentation skills


• Research skills


• Structured approach to problem-solving


• Entrepreneurial/business flair (and demonstrable interest)


• Self-starter


• Eligible to work in the UK


• Comfortable working in a small team
