CAD Design / Modeller

In this role, you will be trained to interrogate point cloud data from laser scan surveys to create accurate as-built 3D models in Revit and other proprietary software and drawings in AutoCAD.

Whilst no direct experience is necessary, as all training will be provided in-house, some prior knowledge of CAD or 3D modelling would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, a passion for technology and architecture, and an interest in 3D modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn how to interpret point cloud data to create accurate as-built 3D Revit models.
Produce 2D CAD drawings, including floor plans, sections, elevations and topographical surveys.
Create and edit Revit families
Produce Revit sheets
Collaborate on large projects with senior modellers as well as working individually
Understand project specifications and client requests.
Understand ‘Level of Detail’ and ‘Level of Definition’ standards within BIM

Essential Skills:

Minimum of 5 GCSE including grades C or 4+ in English Language and Mathematics
Need to be practical, honest, diligent, punctual and enthusiastic
Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office utilities.
Good communication skills
Good numerate and problem-solving skills
Very high attention to detail.
The ability to work in a team and as an individual
Interest in the construction industry and surveying
