Starting from Hourly rate: £8.00  (Apprentice National Minimum Wage)

Apprenticeship Standard: Early Years Educator (Level 3)

Training Provider: Excellence Solutions Limited

Level: Level 3 (A level equivalent) 

Duration: 8- 18 months

SUMMARY

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Great Child opened its doors in 2016 with a simple vision: to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Since then, we’ve grown into two nurseries with beautiful gardens, large outdoor play areas, and a passionate team of early-years educators.

Today we welcome more than 80 families and continue to place play-centred learning at the heart of everything we do.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your responsibilities may include:

• Support managers with the day-to-day running of the nursery


• Supervise and support children's learning and development at all times


• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues


• Liaise with and support parents and family members


• Assist with preparing meals, snacks, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the nursery


• Comply with Health & Safety policies and safeguarding procedures


• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality where appropriate


• Work collaboratively as part of a team


• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, parents' evenings, and fundraising events


• Support the creation of a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment


• Assist with day-to-day nursery operations and activities


• Participate in ongoing training and professional development

TRAINING

During your apprenticeship, you will:

• Receive regular training and support from Excellence Solutions Limited


• Complete at least 20% off-the-job training


• Study towards 3 Early Years Educator qualification


• Gain hands-on experience in a real working environment


• Develop knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and early years education


• Build the skills required for a long-term career in the childcare sector

REQUIREMENTS

Desired Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required


• Any relevant childcare qualifications or experience will be beneficial


• DBS (once placement is secured)
