## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThis role is a Machine Shop based Engineering Apprenticeship where the successful candidate will learn all aspects Fitting, Manual and CNC Machining. In addition, they will learn how to measure the output of each process and how to calculate whether the process is under control. \nApprentices will learn the application of the Eaton Aerospace parts portfolio which cover Airbus Commercial Jets, Boeing Commercial Jets, Combat Aircraft and a range of Helicopters. Parts manufactured include Fuel Pumps and Fuel Components, Actuated Valves and Actuators, Hydraulic and Air Systems, to name but a few. \nApprentices will have scope to explore their own interests. Eaton encourages all employees to develop to their full potential. \nApprentices will follow a robust rotational plan where they will have the support of the dedicated Apprenticeship Team to ensure their learning journey is exciting, engaging, and successful in line with their educational studies. \n\nEssential Functions:\n\n\u2022 Manufacture of Aerospace components using a variety of machine tools and hand skills \n\u2022 With the support of Eaton, successfully complete an engineering apprenticeship through a local college or provider \n\u2022 Full training will be provided by Eaton\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n \n\u2022 Basic IT skills such as Excel and Word are preferred \n\u2022 GCSE (grade C or above desirable) in English, Mathematics, and one or more Sciences (equivalent experience considered) \n\u2022 A-Levels (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Direct experience of and/or demonstrated interest in making things or getting things made from your own personal efforts, i.e. in a workshop, or equivalent position. \n\u2022 Demonstrated interest in and understanding of mechanical engineering, especially in systems for which safety and reliability are essential, e.g. aerospace. \n\u2022 Candidates should be able to demonstrate a degree of mechanical understand/interest, whether through hobbies or previous experience \n\u2022 An ability to work with written instructions, drawings, and through practical instruction. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using email and formal written reports\n
