Graduate Process Engineer – Grangemouth

This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified / Graduate Process Engineering to gain valuable hands-on experience within the petrochemical sector.
Based on-site at a major import and export terminal in Grangemouth, you will work directly with a Senior Process Engineer, supporting project close-out and learning within a highly experienced team.
The placement is expected to last 2–3 months, offering an ideal starting point to apply your academic knowledge in a live operational setting.

Location and Working Pattern
Fully site-based in Grangemouth. Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Client Overview
Our client operates a key import and export terminal serving the petrochemical industry.
The facility plays a vital role in the storage, handling and movement of petrochemical products, maintaining high standards of safety, environmental responsibility and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

Work alongside the Senior Process Engineer to support project close-out activities.
Assist with reviewing technical documentation, process data and project files.
Participate in plant performance reviews and identify potential improvement opportunities.
Liaise with site operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project completion.
Apply safety procedures and technical standards in all activities.
Gain hands-on exposure to terminal operations, control systems and process management.Must-have Requirements

Degree qualified specifically in Process Engineering.
Recently graduated, with a keen interest in gaining practical industrial experience.
Willingness to work full-time on site in Grangemouth.
Strong communication, teamwork and analytical abilities.Nice-to-have Skills

Awareness of process safety principles and environmental standards.
Interest in petrochemical or energy production operations.
Experience from an academic project, dissertation or placement related to process design or optimisation.Benefits
