Home Care Worker Apprenticeship at Totally Living Care Limited

Apprenticeship Overview:

• Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds


• Working Week: Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, shifts between 07:00-14:00 or 16:00-22:00


• Hours: 30 hours per week


• Duration: 13 months


• Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification


• Online training supported by our dedicated tutor


• Location: Totally Living Care Limited, 63-65 Fisherton Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP2 7SU

As a Home Care Worker Apprentice, you will:

• Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes.


• Promote dignity, independence, choice, privacy and respect for all service users.


• Support with personal care and daily living activities.


• Carry out light domestic duties including laundry, ironing and shopping.


• Assist with collecting prescriptions and supporting medication administration where trained and authorised.


• Accurately record care visits, daily notes and medication records using the rostering platform app.


• Monitor and report changes in service users' health, wellbeing or circumstances.


• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and company policies at all times.


• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions and mandatory training.


• Work towards achieving your apprenticeship qualification while developing your care skills.

Specific Requirement:

You must be aged 18+ and have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle as you will be required to travel between service users across Salisbury and surrounding areas. If you do not have access to a vehicle, we will not be able to accept your application.

• No formal qualifications required as full training will be provided.
