We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Temporary Industrial Placement - Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Hinckley. This is a unique opportunity for an engineering student to develop and test a broad range of skills in a thriving environment. As a Design Engineer Student Placement, you will immerse yourself in essential engineering processes Please note: This position is for Undergraduates looking for a Placement Year within their course for the academic year 2027/28 only. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and test a broad range of skills, including 3D CAD design, technical drawing creation, and potentially development testing and computer simulation activities such as FEA. You will work closely with external suppliers and internal departments, including Purchasing, Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing, developing key industry communication and collaboration skills. Skill and qualifications: Studying for an IMechE-accredited engineering degree that meets the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Able to work on-site in Hinckley 5 days per week. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages. Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to follow instructions, work under pressure, and communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
