IT Modern Apprentice

Bring your energy to Aggreko as an apprentice based in our Glasgow office. You’ll gain hands-on experience working across, various areas of IT, from IT support to cyber security to build a well-rounded understanding of Aggreko. All the time helping to make sure our systems and equipment work smoothly to deliver for our colleagues and customers

Your day as an apprentice: 

As an Aggreko apprentice, every day is different as you rotate through various IT departments from support to cybersecurity, working with mentors to develop your technical knowledge while using laptops and mobile devices to help keep Aggreko's systems running smoothly for colleagues and customers worldwide. 

What you’ll learn and do 

• Learn essential IT skills through across rotations - IT support, cyber security, and other key IT functions. 

• In your second year, specialise in a chosen IT area and contribute to ongoing projects. 

• Collaborate with teams to deliver excellent service and contribute to key projects 

• Use IT tools like laptops and mobile devices to support your work 

• Balance practical work experience with college study towards a SCQF Level 8 in IT Support  

Program Overview 

• Based at our Glasgow Office (G2 7BW ) 

• Training provider: QA 

• End qualification: SCQF Level 8 in IT Support 

• Duration: 2 years 

• Starting salary:  £18,720   

• Start date: August 2026

What you need to apply 

• 3 Highers (BBC) including English, maths, and one STEM subject (IT subjects preferred but not essential) 

• A positive and reliable attitude 

• Good communication and teamwork skills 

• Be a problem-solver, always willing to take on a challenge
