Kitchen Porter - 20 hours per week - FTC Expiring 31st October 2025

About the role

Our Food and Beverage department are a key part in providing our passengers with a smooth and positive journey through our airport. Our Kitchen Porters play a pivotal part in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring that our passengers are sent off on their travels satisfied. We bet you’re thinking “so what is it I will actually be doing day to day?” well….  

• I will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and all preparation areas.  
• I will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils.  
• I will be responsible for storing dishes and utensils 
• I will support the Chef with food and dessert preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.  
• I will be responsible for organising the stock room. 
• I will fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.  
• I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Strong communication skills. 
• Experience working in a kitchen would be advantageous. 
• Knowledge of food safety.
