Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship at R53 Suspension
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Machinist. You’ll work alongside an experienced machinist, gaining hands-on experience operating CNC and manual machine tools while learning the precision and skill that goes into producing high-quality components.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, problem-solving, and engineering precision. You’ll be supported every step of the way as you develop valuable skills and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Apprenticeship Overview:
Salary: £15,704 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break)
Work alongside our experienced machinist to learn all aspects of machining
Interpret and understand technical and assembly drawings
Set up and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and manual machinery safely
Complete machining jobs to high standards and within tight tolerances
De-burr and inspect finished components according to drawing specifications
Assist with light assembly work and rework of existing parts where required
Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe work environment
