LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is a UK-based partnership, wholly owned by the private banking group LGT, which is in turn owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. When we set up LGT Wealth Management in 2008, our aim was to offer a fresh approach to wealth management. Alongside the LLP we also have two other entities which focus on US and Jersey based clients. Our head office is based in London however we have a presence in Edinburgh, Jersey, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester. The plan was simple: put our clients first by providing a transparent service, designed around what is right for each of them. Our 2026/27 Placement Year Opportunities
This year we will be hosting three Placement Year undergraduates across a variety of areas in our business including:
Below is an outline of what each of these business areas performs. You can indicate in your application if there is a particular area (based on the three options above) of our business you would prefer to have the opportunity to work in.
Your primary place of work will be in our City of London office where you will work for twelve months starting in July of this year.
We care about the development of our people and we will ensure you gain a mixture of formal learning combined with on-the-job professional experience. Our Placement Year students will follow the hybrid model of working in the office and homeworking.

Business Unit Descriptions
Technology:
The successful candidate will join the Service Delivery Team which is dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of IT services within the organization. This team is responsible for managing incidents, service requests, and problem management, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
They work closely with various departments to gather feedback and implement improvements, aiming to enhance the overall user experience. The team also focuses on maintaining high standards of service delivery, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs), and driving continual service improvement initiatives.
Finance:
The successful candidate will be providing Accounting Support to the wider Finance Team. Primarily this will focus on the regular processing and payment of suppliers, expense claims and credit cards.
This will involve regular communication with both internal and external stake holders to deal with queries promptly and efficiently. In addition, the candidate will be tasked with reconciliation of both supplier ledgers, and with support, bank accounts; further the position will also involve assisting other Team members with Ad hoc Finance duties.
Operations:
Business Operations is the engine room of our Firm providing a wide range of essential support and services for the Investment/Wealth Asset Managers, their teams, and their Clients. Subject to the needs of the Business Operations team at the time the Programme begins, the successful candidate will primarily gain experience in the CASS team but might also be involved with one more of the following units:
