Role Description
We're looking for a motivated Supply Chain Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience with Oracle's PLM and Supply Chain applications, working at the intersection of product design, manufacturing operations, and digital lifecycle management. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate with a foundation in CAD, production operations, and PLM concepts who wants to see how those disciplines translate into enterprise systems used to manage products from design through production.
You'll work alongside engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to support product data management, change control processes, and supply chain workflows within Oracle's ecosystem (Oracle fusion PLM or SCM) Job Location – London
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a driven and result oriented individual with a skill set across the following areas
Impart CAD system knowledge and utilize it into Oracle PLM assisting with uploading, linking, and validating design files (drawings, models, BOMs) within the PLM system.
Help maintain and audit Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring engineering and manufacturing BOMs stay synchronized across product records.
Assist in processing and tracking Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from initiation through review, approval routing, and implementation.
Collaborate with production teams to understand how production operations (routings, work centres, capacity constraints) are represented and managed in the supply chain system.
Participate in testing and validating PLM/SCM workflows, including item master setup, supplier data, and change management processes.
Document current-state processes and identify opportunities for workflow automation or standardization.
Support cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement) in resolving product data discrepancies.
Assist with reporting and dashboards to track key supply chain and PLM metrics (eg: change cycle time, BOM accuracy, etc.).
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
Exposure to production operations - manufacturing processes, routings, shop floor workflows, or lean/Six Sigma principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and process detail.
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills - comfortable documenting processes and presenting findings.
Prior exposure to Oracle applications (Fusion Cloud, Agile PLM) is a plus, but not required, training will be provided.
