GALENT Recruitment are working exclusively with a highly successful property investment and management business to recruit a Part-Time Trainee Assistant Client Accountant.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to build or further develop a career in finance while working 20–25 hours per week. It is particularly well suited to someone seeking a long-term part-time position with structured training, meaningful responsibility and scope to progress.
Previous client accounting or property experience is not required. The Finance Director is committed to training the right individual and believes that attitude, aptitude and willingness to learn are more important than industry experience.

WORKING HOURS, ENVIRONMENT & BENEFITS
• Permanent part-time position working 20–25 hours per week • Salary of £28,000 – £35,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata, depending on experience • Full training provided by an experienced Finance Director • Holiday allowance calculated on a pro rata basis • Genuine long-term career progression opportunities • Supportive and collaborative team environment • On-site parking available • Office-based during the initial three-week training period • A hybrid working arrangement is planned following training, aligned with the agreed part-time working pattern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Processing daily receipts and bank reconciliations • Allocating rental income and investigating unidentified transactions • Maintaining accurate financial records and client account balances • Assisting with arrears reporting and management • Supporting supplier and landlord payment processes • Preparing and reviewing landlord statements • Producing financial reports and management information • Assisting with property profit and loss reporting • Liaising with colleagues and senior management regarding financial matters • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as required
