Sustainability Apprentice

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to start your career in sustainability and environmental management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Apprentice to join our team in London to help deliver our Environmental and Sustainability Strategy.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while completing a Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Apprenticeship. You will work alongside experienced sustainability professionals, developing practical skills while making a real contribution to environmental initiatives across our organisation.

What you will be doing

As a Sustainability Apprentice, you will provide administrative and project support to help deliver key sustainability objectives. Working with colleagues across the business, you will: 

• Support the delivery of our Environmental and Sustainability Strategy.


• Assist with energy efficiency and sustainability projects.


• Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner.


• Maintain sustainability records, systems and databases.


• Support data collection, analysis and reporting to meet regulatory and organisational requirements.


• Assist with communications, customer forums, project groups and awareness campaigns.


• Complete administrative tasks accurately and in line with agreed procedures.


• Participate fully in your apprenticeship programme, maintaining evidence of learning and development.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about sustainability, eager to learn and keen to develop a long-term career in this field.

You will complete your apprenticeship milestones through the Apprenticeship Academy and will be given dedicated study time to support your learning and progress.

The salary is dependent on your age, and is above Government recommendations for National Minimum Wage and Living Wage:

• Under 18:        £19,094 per annum 


• 18-20:              £25,184 per annum 


• 21 & Over:       £27,895 per annum 

You will have:

Essential

• GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in Maths and English.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Strong organisational and time management skills.


• Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.


• A positive and proactive approach to learning.


• Good Microsoft Office skills.


• Ability to follow procedures and manage information confidentially.

Desirable

• Level 3 qualification in a sustainability, environmental, energy or related subject.


• Knowledge of social housing or sustainability issues.


• Good Excel skills.


• Demonstrable interest in environmental sustainability.
