Trainee Accountant

Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Accountancy Practice in Wolverhampton, who are looking to appoint a Trainee Accountant.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is looking to start a rewarding career in Accountancy.

No previous experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in accountancy and business.

Hours: Mon-Fri | 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum.

Duties include but not limited to:

* Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records

* Processing client accounting information

* Preparing VAT returns

* Assisting with the preparation of Year End and Management Accounts

* Assisting with Personal and Corporate tax compliance work

* Using cloud accounting software such as Xero and Sage

* Communicating with clients to obtain information and answer routine queries

Ideal Candidate:

* Has a genuine interest in accountancy, finance and business

* Is motivated to learn and develop professionally

* Has strong numerical and analytical skills

* Demonstrates excellent attention to detail

* Is organised, reliable and able to manage their workload effectively

* Has good communication and interpersonal skills

* Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

* Works well as part of a team

* Has achieved GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
