A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Warrington is searching for an enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistant who is keen to begin a career in education. This position is ideal for someone who is ready to develop new skills, gain classroom experience, and make a positive contribution to children’s learning.
You don’t need previous experience working in a school — full support and training will be provided. As part of the role, you’ll have the opportunity to complete Level 2 Teaching Assistant training, alongside Thrive and a variety of CPD sessions designed to build your confidence and capability.
About the Role:
Work closely with the class teacher to support pupils during lessons Assist with group activities, day-to-day tasks, and classroom routines Encourage pupils to stay motivated, engaged, and confident in their learning Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment Prepare simple resources and provide general classroom assistance Gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with additional needs, with guidance every step of the way Who We’re Looking For:
Someone with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one) A person with a genuine interest in supporting children Positive, patient, and willing to learn new skills A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team Any experience working with children — in clubs, coaching, volunteering, childcare, etc. — is beneficial!
