Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Mon to Fri You will: Install, maintain, and fix vital telecoms systems that keep SPEN's substations and networks running safely and reliably. Handle fibre, copper, RF and IP-based communication systems confidently. Support planned works, manage reactive faults, and respond to emergencies. Complete configuration, testing, and documentation to a high standard. Work as one team with site leads, our Network Operations Centre, Project Managers, and contractors. Lead with safety, permits and electrical procedures followed every time. Take pride in your kit, ensuring tools, test gear, and your vehicle are always inspection‑ready. You put safety first, always making smart choices and keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. You enjoy figuring things out, whether that's solving problems or learning new technical skills. As this is a field‑based work, you'll need a clean driving license, be comfortable travelling as needed with a flexible approach to working hours. Will ideally hold SCQF Level 6 qualification(s) such as Highers or equivalent by September 2026. Must meet UK Government apprenticeship levy funding eligibility requirements.
