Water Production Factory Worker / Technician About the Role We are looking for reliable and hardworking Water Production Factory Workers / Technicians to join our production team. The role involves operating and monitoring bottling and production machinery, carrying out quality checks, packing finished products, and supporting the maintenance and repair of factory equipment. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor water filling, bottling and capping machinery. Inspect finished bottles and remove damaged or defective products. Pack finished products into boxes and onto pallets. Operate production machinery and hand tools safely. Carry out basic quality checks and testing throughout production. Report machinery faults and production issues promptly. Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and electrical faults. Replace damaged or broken parts and test machinery after repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance, production and safety records. Clean and sanitise machinery, equipment and work areas. Keep the factory floor clean, tidy and free from hazards. Store goods and raw materials safely in the factory or warehouse. Operate lifting equipment or forklift trucks where appropriately trained. Follow all health and safety requirements and company procedures. Meet production targets and agreed production timelines. Person Specification Education Some GCSEs, including English and Maths, are desirable. Relevant manufacturing qualifications or apprenticeships are an advantage. Training and development opportunities may be available for suitable candidates. Experience Experience working with automated manufacturing, bottling or production equipment is desirable. Previous factory or warehouse experience is beneficial. Experience with machinery maintenance or repair is an advantage. Skills Good hand-eye coordination. Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills. Ability to follow safety instructions and operating procedures. Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read basic blueprints and technical schematics. Competent use of hand tools. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Personal Qualities Reliable and hardworking. Safety-conscious. Practical and hands-on. A good problem solver. Detail-oriented. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible and willing to learn. Training & Apprenticeships Paid apprenticeship training may be available to some successful candidates, depending on suitability and eligibility. Relevant manufacturing qualifications may include a Level 1 Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations or equivalent. Working Hours & Contract 22.5–37.5 hours per week Full-time, part-time and self-employed opportunities available Pay Ages 18–20: £10.90 per hour Ages 21+: £12.80–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience Apprenticeship training: £8.00 per hour Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
