Job Description - Repairs Helpdesk And Property Administrator - Part-Time

This could be full time or a part time job share

The Property team for McMullen and Sons is responsible for all the maintenance of our public houses, two hotels, our brewery and commercial property estate.

We manage this inhouse so that we can provide a top-quality service across the business. We are also responsible for the Company’s new developments and refurbishments.

Job Summary

To assist the Property Team in connection with the company’s property portfolio and equipment repairs.

Main Duties

The following is a non-exhaustive list of key duties and tasks:

  • Operate the property/equipment helpline and maintain call out records using Exel spreadsheets
  • Raising purchase orders for repairs and equipment
  • Provide out of hours emergency helpdesk service cover alongside the Property Team (on a Rota basis)
  • Provide admin support to the Property Director and team
  • There is a requirement to cover the out of hours phone on a rota basis - for which there is an additional payment

Specific Duties

  • To answer the phone and deal with enquiries from our pub teams and the public; and
  • To work alongside and assist the Property and Facility Manager and provide holiday cover
  • To manage internal requests for property work and equipment repair/replacement including instructing contractors
  • To raise purchase orders and to collate information for developments under the direction of the Property and Facilities Manager

  • Willingness to help and be flexible
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Working knowledge of exel
  • Ideally some practical knowledge of property repairs and maintenance but training can be given
