Job Description - Duty Manager - Part-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Duty Manager to join us on a part-time basis to manage the daily operation of the Bletchley Park Heritage site.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, your role will include providing an outstanding visitor experience, ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to and managing on-duty volunteers. Working alongside other teams, this role ensures the smooth operation of the Park for our visitors.

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent interpersonal communication and management skills, including the ability to use your own initiative to resolve visitor-related issues in line with the Trust’s policies and procedures. You will also have the confidence to manage and coordinate a diverse team of volunteers to ensure a seamless and enjoyable visitor experience for all.

You will be IT proficient, with good working knowledge of MS Office software including Excel and Word, and be numerate and methodical as you will also support with administrative tasks as required.

Due to the nature of this role, this post requires a high level of movement across the site throughout the day.

This is a part-time role based on-site at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes (MK3 6EB).

Hours of work will be Monday to Sunday, working a minimum of 2 days each week on a rota basis (111.5 days per year). Usual hours or work will be 8.30am to 6.00pm, with half an hour unpaid lunch break.

Working as part of a small team, flexibility to work together to cover absence or onsite events will be required, as needed.

In return you will receive a pro-rata salary of £18,806.15 per annum, based on £38,200 pa FTE, rising to £19,522.81 per annum, £39.716.64 pa FTE post probation.
