Part-Time Bookkeeper

We are excited to be working exclusively with a new client, to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join them on a part time, permanent basis.

Our client is a large independent pub company in Scotland with many pubs and restaurants across the country. Their properties range from local pubs to city centre restaurants.

We are looking to speak to candidates with prior Bookkeeping experience.

This is a part time role working 2 days per week from our clients offices in central Glasgow.

What you'll do

• Balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and maintenance of fixed asset register
• Processing all payments and invoices
• Provide final trial balance and supporting schedules for preparation of statutory accounts
• Advise on management information in a variety of formats
• Support in managing Year End
• Work with the Accountants to process Payroll
• Prepare and finalise VAT returns
• Working with Xero (Some legacy work on Sage)

What you'll need

• Prior experience as a Bookkeeper and the preparation of VAT returns
• Ability to produce standard management reports
• Experienced in Xero (ideally) and Sage software
• Strong stakeholder management skills, internally and externally
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Flexible and adaptable to change, strong critical thinking skills
• Enthusiastic and initiative-taking
