Job Description:
Western Refining is seeking a motivated and adaptable Communications Specialist to join our team in London, England. As a part-time role at the Associate Level, the Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering internal and external communications for our company. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in communications or a related field.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the company's brand and messaging - Write and distribute corporate communications, including press releases, internal newsletters, and social media posts - Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including media contacts, employees, and external partners - Coordinate and support the planning and execution of events, conferences, and other communications initiatives - Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field - Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms - Experience with graphic design and video editing is a plus - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Motivated and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving - Strong planning and organizational skills
